We received a thank-you note from the Minden and District Horticultural Society after they spent a day at the Leaskdale Manse National Historic site and toured LMMSO member Carole Ditomasso’s garden…

Hi Carole:

On behalf of the Minden and District Horticultural Society, I would like to thank you and the other volunteers at the home of Lucy Maud Montgomery for a wonderful afternoon.  We are all fans of “Anne” (with an “e”) and you have done an amazing job bringing Lucy Maud to life – we could almost feel her presence in the Manse.  And the high tea was just perfect.

Carole, what can we say about your gardens!  They are amazing and we all came away inspired but humbled.  You showed us what a vision and a lot of work can do.

Thanks again, and I will tell the rest of the Society to drop by to see the statue whenever they travel to Toronto.
