SPRING SONG<\/strong><\/p>

HARK, I hear a robin calling!<\/p>

And the orchard-bloom is falling<\/p>

 List, the wind is from the south! <\/p>

Sweet as kisses on the mouth. <\/p>

In the dreamy vale of beeches<\/p>

 Fair and faint is woven mist, <\/p>

And the river’s orient reaches<\/p>

 Are the palest amethyst. <\/p>

Every limpid brook is singing<\/p>

 Of the lure of April days; <\/p>

Every piney glen is ringing<\/p>

 With the maddest roundelays. <\/p>

Come and let us seek together<\/p>

 Springtime lore of daffodils, <\/p>

Giving to the golden weather<\/p>

 Greeting on the sun-warm hills. <\/p>

Ours shall be the moonrise stealing<\/p>

 Through the birches ivory-white; <\/p>

Ours shall be the mystic healing<\/p>

 Of the velvet-footed night. <\/p>

Ours shall be the gypsy winding<\/p>

 Of the path with violets blue, <\/p>

Ours at last the wizard finding<\/p>

 Of the land where dreams come true. <\/p>
