The Lucy Maud Montgomery Society of Ontario

It takes a lot of dedicated people to preserve the memory of our beloved Lucy Maud Montgomery. We have restored the Manse and we are just putting the finishing touches on the interior.  In 2006, we purchased the Leaskdale Presbyterian Church where Ewan Macdonald preached.  The Church provides us with much needed space, washrooms, parking, etc.

Along with the people and acquisitions, we also require money.  The Lucy Maud Montgomery Society of Ontario is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit registered charity, with no administration costs.  100% of proceeds go to the restoration and maintenance of our Church, as well as the Manse, for visitor education and entertainment.

Our current fundraising project is Maud’s Museum: The Next Step

We welcome all kinds of donations – financial, in kind or artifactual. Our artifact requirements are very specific as Maud took many pictures of the inside of the Manse but small items from the Edwardian era are always needed. If you have a special request as to where you want the money to go like the statue of Maud, the church garden, the manse, church or programming, please let your wishes be known.

Do you have some volunteer time? We always need you to help with an event or some repairs or improvements.

You can be involved! Memberships are also available.  Donations are greatly received.  We issue tax receipts for donations of CDN$25.00 or more.  Your support will be put to good use.
